We are seeking an analytical and focused QA specialist to join a team creating innovative software solutions to industry around the globe. This role is in a stable team of skilled professionals with a key focus on the automated and manual testing of systems and products to ensure quality. The role is located on the beautiful Isle of Wight but is certainly commutable from the Southampton region.
The Quality Assurance team is responsible for testing and quality assurance for in-house software products and for driving forward development procedures, as part of a continuous improvement programme. We now need a skilled individual to join the team in this key role, someone capable of developing a sound understanding of the company product lines and objectives.
A major part of the Assistant QA Manager role will be to focus on testing throughout the product development process, with responsibilities for design and creation of test plans, creation of testing environments, implementation of both automated and manual testing tools, understanding test specifications and accurate recording and analysing of data. This is NOT an entry level role and key skills and experience will be required to be considered for the position. We are ideally looking for post grad experience in software development and testing of circa 3-5 years to ensure that the skills required to manage this team are in place, skills that include ;
This is also a strategic staff management position, requiring strong communication and leadership skills, therefore former experience of running teams, ideally in product testing environments would be advantageous. This role will also require excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills which will be practically tested throughout the interview and selection process.

- Test design, execution and analysis of results
- Management of functional test execution from planning to defect analysis
- Execution of functional and system level black box tests in complex client server based systems
- Setup and management of multiple hardware and network configurations
- Recording tests and bug verification processes
