Digital Marketing and PR Assistant required to take this growing UK brand to the next level!
This is a brand-new role; part of a new marketing team being developed right here on the Isle of Wight. We need a talented marketeer with a passion for all things digital to become an integral part of creating a national marketing strategy covering sites here on the Island and mainland UK. Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager this is a career building opportunity giving you the chance to focus your skills on brand awareness, digital presence and engaging customers in the long term.
You will need to demonstrate an exceptional grasp of language and the ability to write at length for a wide variety of media including creating traditional press releases and print content alongside creation of digital content for social media platforms, company websites and blogs.
This is not an entry level role. While there will be plenty to learn and room to grow, the position requires a practical understanding of digital marketing. We are therefore looking for an individual with some work-based experience,
Specific understanding of the following areas will be key;
Although not essential, applicants holding a marketing qualification will have a distinct advantage. Skills with design packages such as Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva and Photoshop would also be advantageous.
The Digital Marketing and PR Assistant will be tasked with taking this business forward in a visually engaging way, embracing use of video, vlogging and YouTube to engage with target markets. This will be a relatively new stream of media for the business giving you the opportunity to lead the way in this area.
Over time, you will be expected to build up and sustain strong working relationships with external media sources, from bloggers and vloggers to press officers and influencers in order to push the brand further and create valuable content streams.
This is very much a forward-facing role and you should be presentable and confident, able to work in a PR capacity at a variety of events and networking opportunities.
This full-time, employed position will include regular Saturday working on rota. Whilst some remote working options may be available, this role will be based on site within the company office on a full-time basis, therefore the successful applicant will need to be based on the Isle of Wight.
We are not looking to secure freelance marketing services. This employer requires an individual who is prepared to immerse themselves fully in the brand, focusing all their marketing efforts in one area.
