Fundraising Assistant 
​(Isle of Wight )


Permanent, full time position
£17,500 p/a

We are working with a leading charity on the Isle of Wight to find a talented  Fundraising Officer to  focus on bringing in new revenue streams, sponsors and  regular donors. 

This exciting and challenging role will  take a holistic approach to fundraising including;

  • Office based outward bound calling
  • Account management of existing donors 
  • Regular liaison with friends of the charity
  • Research and identification of relevant charitable trusts and grants 
  • Research and identification of  new events opportunities
  • Supporting the events management team with fundraising activity
  • Administrative duties including data input, correspondence  and database management 
  • Digital duties including creating engaging website  and social media content

This is a dynamic, forward thinking team that loves to embrace new ideas and innovative ways of achieving goals, so we are seeking a creative and open minded individual  who also works well to targets and deadlines.   We will be looking for someone with exceptional   attention to detail.  with strong  organisation skills. The right attitude will go a long way, but  highly desirable skills and experience we are looking to secure  include; 

  • Excellent written communication skills (minimum grade C at GSCE level) 
  • General office administration duties  including confidence using the    MS Office suite 
  • Experience of using databases (Salesforce  experience highly desirable but not essential) 
  • Desire to work within a charitable organisation
  • Skills with any of the following; sales,   marketing, promotion of products and / or events
  • Ability to create engaging content including newsletters
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills 

This role will require a confident individual with  the ability to build and sustain effective business relationships. We are looking for someone with ambition, who will be keen to undertake ongoing professional development and push to develop new skills as they grow with the business.
