We have uncovered a gem of a venue on the Isle of Wight where there is now a post available for a talented, Head Chef to join the business and take advantage of an incredible location, loyal customer base and fantastically committed team.
First thing you should know is that this role comes with a dedicated Sous Chef (currently acting as Head Chef ). This talented Sous has the kitchen running beautifully, but simply cannot step up to any additional responsibilities or hours due to family commitments so, with the venue getting busier, a confident and reliable driving force is now needed to lift the pressure on the existing team allowing them to create a fantastic work life balance for all staff in house.
Working with fresh produce on a set menu with changing specials, there will be plenty of opportunity to be creative and bring new ideas to the plate. In fact once the new Head Chef is settled in, the management team are keen to task them with refreshing and revitalising the menus, so applicants will need to be ready with some great ideas.

These are family friendly employers and the needs of their staff are a top priority, so there is some flexibility available to create a rewarding work life balance, however , it is essential that the successful Head Chef is willing and available to work on Sunday lunchtimes and on Tuesday evenings to support the arrangements of existing team members.
We are looking for a Head Chef with a great attitude, someone who loves to cook, who enjoys taking direction and who can get along with front of house as well as the kitchen team. This can be a very high pressure venue at times , and serving at volume is a key part of the duties through the summer so you will need to demonstrate a level headed and calm approach!
