4 month  'fixed-term' contract  (permanent role likely) 
Salary   circa £17,000  p/a (pro rata)

This is a fantastic new opportunity on the Isle of Wight for an ambitious Office Administrator who would like to work in a role covering events, tourism and social media. The Office and Events Manager will develop this new position in the company, focusing on co-ordination and promotion of engaging events and projects here on the Island and across the UK and Europe.

We are looking for a strong all-round administrative skill set and specifically need applicants who are confident and enthusiastic regarding working with Excel spreadsheets and databases.

Duties will include the following:
  • Client liaison from start to finish of each event
  • Diary and resource management
  • Creative input on proposals for events and projects
  • Bookings management and liaison with contractors on site
  • Data input and database management
  • Supporting the accounts team with invoicing and credit control admin

This busy, fun loving team  is  always on the go! The Office and Events  Manager will need to be independent and pro-active to ensure this role is a success. Our client is offering the chance to develop and grow with a relatively new business, meaning a real chance to make your mark and establish the role in your own unique style.

Not only will this individual be responsible for office-based management of events, you will also be given the opportunity to attend events around the UK, seeing your ideas coming to life meeting your clients in person. It is important that applicants are prepared to travel occasionally, and applicants with their own vehicle will have the advantage.

We are looking for someone who is creative, with strong concepts for both marketing and events, making this an exciting and challenging role with plenty of potential. Initially this is a 4-month fixed term contract taking the successful applicant through to June 2019. Our client is hopeful that with the right person in the position, the role will progress to a permanent position from June onwards. This client is keen to reward hard work and positive results with a fantastic work life balance, and for the right individual there can be some flexibility in working hours and schedules to accommodate lifestyle commitments.
