Due to recent staff movement, the hotel now has a full-time vacancy for a skilled Receptionist, who will essentially become the face and voice of the venue ensuring that from the first to last contact, each guest has an outstanding experience. This is not the role for a shy retiring wallflower, we are looking for an engaging, confident and customer focused individual with a strong track record in customer facing roles, ideally within a reception environment (although not necessarily from a hospitality background).
Applicants will need to be well presented and articulate with a fantastic phone manner. We are looking for someone who is I.T confident, able to use online booking systems, liaise with guests via email, work with internal databases and systems and potentially engage with queries via social media. We also need an individual who will be able to troubleshoot and think proactively within the working day, if a guest has an unusual request or an issue that needs resolving, it will often fall to the reception team to ensure a swift and effective response.
This is a full-time position in a busy hotel, open 7 days a week. Applicants should be aware that the role will require a 40 hr week across early and late shifts (earliest shift begins at 7am and the close is at 11pm). Due to the demands of the role, we need someone who is able to drive, as the local bus system simply cannot accommodate some of the start and finish times for this role.
