We are looking for a sales professional who has had enough of 'the hustle', so forget the hard sell and become an adviser!
This role requires many traditional sales skills from working to targets and pro-active work ethics to strong listening skills and product recall, but this is NOT a direct sales job. Our client is a growing insurance company based on the Isle of Wight, and they need a new adviser to join the team taking care of incoming needs of customers seeking advice on insurance policies, renewals and upgrades.
This role is very consultative, with a key focus on finding the right plan for each customer. It might not seem exciting, to advise on insurance policies, and it's true that people are rarely enthusiastic about spending time and money on financial service products, however, these policies really do change lives, helping people out when they are most in need of support. Our client has an excellent reputation and has grown a loyal portfolio of both private and commercial policy holders who trust this business to be there when they need them.
This is a very busy office so we need an individual who is confident working efficiently under pressure. We will also require the successful applicant to have strong verbal reasoning and communication skills, in order to comfortably relay detailed information about policies in a clear and concise manner. Good numeracy skills will also be required along with the ability to engage and build strong long term relationships with customers.
This is an office based role with work being carried out almost entirely via phone, so it is vital that applicants can demonstrate a clear and communicative phone manner. The role also requires a high level of administrative capability so strong written communication skills will also be vital.
Although not essential, applicants who have previous insurance experience will have a distinct advantage.
This is a full-time, permanent role with office hours from Monday-Friday . This employer offers a great deal of scope for onward professional development, with industry recognised training, regular reviews and clear routes for progression. In house, the Isle of Wight team are a warm and friendly group of professionals who have created a comfortable work environment, plus the company is well located boasting a contemporary office space.
To be considered for this position please apply with your up to date CV and a cover letter stating your most relevant skills and experience for this role.
Applicants should be aware that this is not a simple CV application process, there will be a presentation element to showcase communication skills and aptitude testing to help ensure a strong culture fit for the team. Our client is keen to see individuals who are committed to a long term career with the company and expect to see this commitment demonstrated at interview.
