We are searching for a communicative and positive Sous Chef to join a busy brigade in this professional kitchen on the stunning Isle of Wight coastline. The day to day will focus on a variety of menus including corporate hospitality and events, with a daily flow of guests looking for healthy, tasty and creative choices. This venue has a well established team and strong leadership in place, so we are looking for a talented Sous who can blend in and lead by example whilst supporting with training and development of junior members of the brigade.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a good basic knowledge of kitchen and knife skills, show a keen interest in produce and presentation, demonstrate a desire to progress and will need to have strong verbal communication skills. Former experience as Sous Chef would be highly beneficial, but for the right fit, our client is happy to consider any individual with at least 3 years professional kitchen experience at any level. Sound understanding of safety and hygiene standards (current food hygiene certificate) will be required.
