We are seeking a Sales Engineer with experience in process automation to join this innovative software solutions business. This role is in a stable team of skilled professionals leading their sector in the production and development of internationally acclaimed software systems. The role is located on the beautiful Isle of Wight and is certainly commutable from the Southampton region.
This position requires an analytical and strategic approach to supporting company-wide sales activity. The successful applicant will be required to oversee global sales activity within the company, in order to respond to technical and commercial queries regarding the product portfolio. The Sales Engineer will also be responsible for tracking business development opportunities and becoming a key point of contact between developers, sales forces and end-users.
This is a technical position requiring all the forward facing, interpersonal skills of a traditional sales role. You will be dealing directly with customers and users to run product demonstrations (both via digital communication and in person), you will be able prepare detailed and engaging proposals that are both technical and commercial, you will also need to run sales training to in-house teams internationally, present at exhibition and seminars and create technical content for use in marketing.
If you have a background in process automation, control and instrumentation, electrical engineering or systems integration then you will have a distinct advantage. Applicants will also need to be target driven and statistically focused self starters.

- The role will involve occasional international travel to company offices and customer locations across the world, sometimes at short notice.
- This full time post will be based day to day at offices on the Isle of Wight.
