Warehouse Administrator – Maternity Cover
​(Isle of Wight )

Fixed Term Contract: Immediate start – expected up to February 2020 
£9.00 per hour, 37.5 hours per week

Our friends at Jersey Pearl are looking to secure an   Maternity Cover until February 2020  for this role covering  a range of  day-to-day warehouse management duties.

With an extensive base of wholesale customers, the team need to ensure that it's business as usual through this period of change for the company, so we are looking for a confident, capable individual who can step in and keep things running smoothly.  The post holder will be a trusted point of contact for the existing portfolio of commercial and direct customers, and will be responsible for handling customer service calls and emails. We are therefore looking for someone who can confidently respond to stock and sales enquiries, quote for bespoke items from the workshop and administrate customer returns; always offering exceptional levels of customer care. 

Key duties will include stock management, order processing, picking and packing   of all parcels due to be dispatched , and customer service.​

This is a role for someone who likes things 'just so'  to maintain our high standards, so attention to detail will be key. We take great care in ensuring only the highest quality jewellery enters our stock holding so the post holder will be responsible for opening, counting  and checking the quality of supplier deliveries before reporting the results to the Head of Product Analysis. Then process any supplier returns for items that do not make the cut. 

As this role is to provide Maternity Cover,  our client would  prefer to have someone in post who will require minimal training , so  previous warehouse experience  of order processing, picking and packing would be highly desirable.  Equally, any experience in the jewellery industry will be an advantage but is not essential.

Whilst this role is purely to cover maternity leave and is due to finish in February 2020 - this company is in a period of growth and there is a strong possibility that if successful in the role, future opportunities could open up internally once the contract comes to a close. This however is not guaranteed.
